Blog 2: Why did you choose this career?

 Hi everyone. 

Today I will to tell you why I chose my career.  When I was child my dream job was be a dancer. I used to watch "Cachureos" and there i saw the "chicas yeye" and i was to be part of that team hahah. Then, I wanted to be history teacher, but i liked more history than teach. I love history since a lot time ago. 

When I had to choose career, I was between psychology and anthropology, but I decided for the first one, because I didn't want go to Santiago and I didn't know anybody who was an anthropology. So, I felt scare and I started to study psychology in the university. 

In my second year of uni I wasn't happy studying, so I decided to work and think about what I really wanted to do. After all, I decided to study anthropology how in the beginning.  Because it was what I really wanted since a years ago. 

My experience at the university until know has been good. I think I did a good choice,  I'm happy here. But the online classes are not very interesting.

The kind of job i would like to have is being in a communities with social environment problems or some communities linked to nature. As a tool I would like to use visual anthropology. 

For the end, I hope in the future make a documentary like "Baraka". I leave you the documental here, If you like the differences of the cultures and visual art, see it, you will not regret.

    Reading about you made me remember that I wanted to be a "chica yeye" too jajaja. And I thinked to study to be a history teacher too.

Hi,  Today I will talk about music I like. My favorite singer is Tash Sultana, she is 25 years old, was born in Melbourne, Australia,  she knows how to play more than 10 musical instruments and she started playing music on the streets of australia, its was her way to cure her problems. She became famous for the youtube videos, is a wonderful singer . Blog 4: A subject I enjoyed studying this semester

 Hi everyone.  A subject I'm enjoying this semester  is "Taller II: Etnografía y archivo". Last year I thought it would be the best subject, because we had to work in field with communitties, but how is corona times, we have to work with topic that we can see in internet. Its very different how I thought, but even that I'm enjoying this subject because my work is about the impact of the filters on instagram and I do that with six more friends, and that make the work more interesting. I thing is a very good subject, because we have to interact and not just learning about things that others did, we can make something new and I enjoy the dynamic.  For other side, the ethnography is the principal research method of the anthropology, so is a very important subject of our career and I'm trying to understand and lear even in the new context.  That is all for today,  Have a good week!
